Project
For NH Collection Gent, we renovated the flat roof of the inner courtyard.
After a thorough cleaning, the existing roof was further insulated with PIR insulation. The existing roof membrane was retained and served as a vapor barrier, after which a new two-layer bituminous waterproofing membrane was installed with a root-resistant top layer.
The roof parapets were waterproofed using a liquid PMMA waterproofing system. The roof was finished with an extensive green roof.
Result
A sustainably renovated roof featuring an extensive green roof, which not only contributes to water retention and biodiversity but also provides a pleasant green view from the hotel.
